Welcome to JMJobsListings.com. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of JMJobsListings.com, including its job listings, employer and candidate profiles, application tools, dashboards, forms, messages and related services (collectively, the “Platform”). The Platform is operated by Naraineswebdesigns.com (“JMJobsListings”, “we”, “us” or “our”).

By accessing the Platform, creating an account, posting a job, creating a profile, submitting an application or otherwise using our services, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

1. Eligibility and account registration

  • You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into an agreement to create or use an account.
  • You must provide accurate, current and complete information and keep it updated.
  • You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for activity carried out through your account.
  • You may not share, sell, transfer or create accounts for another person without authorization.
  • You must notify us promptly through our Contact page if you suspect unauthorized account access.

We may request reasonable information to verify an account, employer, business, job listing or candidate profile. Verification reduces risk but is not a guarantee of identity, legitimacy, qualifications or conduct.

2. Role of JMJobsListings

JMJobsListings provides online tools that help employers publish opportunities and help job seekers find and apply for work. Unless we expressly agree in writing to provide a separate recruitment or placement service, employers make their own hiring decisions and job seekers decide whether to apply for or accept an opportunity.

We are not a party to any employment contract or other agreement between an employer and a candidate. We do not control interviews, background checks, working conditions, compensation, benefits, immigration or work-permit requirements, workplace safety, tax treatment or the conduct of users. Nothing in these Terms removes any statutory right or regulatory obligation that applies to a user or to a service we provide.

3. Employer responsibilities

Employers and persons posting on behalf of employers must:

  • have authority to represent the named business and advertise the vacancy;
  • provide a genuine, current and sufficiently detailed job opportunity;
  • state material information accurately, including the employer, location, job type, responsibilities, qualifications, work arrangement and compensation where supplied;
  • comply with Jamaican law and any law applicable to the job location, including employment, immigration, licensing, consumer-protection, data-protection and equal-opportunity requirements;
  • use applicant information only for legitimate recruitment and hiring purposes and protect it against unauthorized access or disclosure;
  • communicate honestly and professionally with applicants; and
  • close, update or remove a listing when it is filled, cancelled, expired or materially changed.

Employers may not post misleading opportunities, impersonate another organization, collect personal data unrelated to recruitment, or request payment from a candidate merely to apply, interview or be considered for a job.

4. Job-seeker responsibilities

Job seekers must submit truthful information about their identity, experience, skills, education, certifications, availability and right to work. You must not impersonate another person, submit forged documents, misrepresent qualifications, send spam applications or use another person’s résumé or profile without permission.

You are responsible for assessing each employer and opportunity before providing additional information, attending an interview, travelling, making a commitment or accepting work. Never send money, passwords, one-time codes, banking credentials or copies of sensitive identity documents merely to apply for a job. Report suspicious activity through our Contact page.

5. Prohibited listings and conduct

You may not use the Platform to:

  • post false, expired, deceptive, unlawfully discriminatory or non-existent jobs;
  • promote illegal work, trafficking, exploitation, pyramid schemes, phishing, malware, money laundering or other fraudulent activity;
  • advertise adult services, unlawful products or content unrelated to legitimate employment;
  • harass, threaten, defame or unlawfully discriminate against another person;
  • collect, sell, scrape, publish or misuse personal information without a lawful purpose and appropriate authority;
  • upload malicious code or interfere with the security, availability or proper operation of the Platform;
  • bypass access controls, rate limits, moderation, account restrictions or security measures;
  • copy or use Platform content to build a competing database without written permission; or
  • violate intellectual-property, privacy, confidentiality or other legal rights.

6. Job review, approval and removal

We may review, approve, reject, edit for formatting, pause, expire or remove any listing, profile or content. Approval means only that the item passed the checks we chose to perform at that time; it is not an endorsement or guarantee.

We may request supporting information, especially where a listing appears incomplete, high-risk, misleading or inconsistent. We are not required to publish every submission or provide advance notice before removing content that may create legal, security or user-safety risk.

7. Applications and hiring decisions

Submitting an application does not guarantee delivery, review, an interview, an offer or employment. Employers are solely responsible for reviewing applications, communicating decisions and carrying out lawful hiring checks. Candidates are responsible for deciding whether an opportunity and any offer are suitable.

Application statuses shown on the Platform are informational and may depend on updates from an employer or administrator. A delayed or unchanged status does not necessarily mean that no action has been taken.

8. Candidate profiles, résumés and business profiles

Your profile visibility settings affect how information is presented through the Platform, but no internet service can guarantee absolute confidentiality. Do not include information in a public field that you do not want displayed.

Candidate résumés and application information may be made available to the employers to whom the candidate applies and, where the candidate selects an appropriate visibility option, to authorized or verified employers. Business-profile owners are responsible for the accuracy of their public information, contact details, media and vacancies.

Profile availability, approval periods and public visibility may be limited, suspended or extended according to the rules displayed on the relevant profile or dashboard. Our handling of personal information is further explained in the Privacy Policy.

9. Your content and permission to operate the Platform

You retain ownership of content you lawfully submit. You grant JMJobsListings a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, format, display and transmit that content only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, promote and improve the Platform and to provide the service you requested. This licence ends when the content is deleted from active systems, subject to reasonable backups, legal retention and records needed to protect users or resolve disputes.

You confirm that you have the rights and permissions needed to submit the content and that it does not infringe another person’s rights.

10. JMJobsListings content and intellectual property

The Platform’s branding, design, software, original text, graphics and other materials are owned by or licensed to JMJobsListings and are protected by applicable law. You may use the Platform for legitimate personal job searching or authorized business recruitment. You may not reproduce, resell, reverse engineer or commercially exploit the Platform except where the law permits or we give written permission.

11. Fees, paid features and refunds

Some services may be free, while featured listings, business-profile extensions, promotions or other services may become paid. Any price, billing period, taxes, included features and material purchase terms will be shown before you authorize payment. We will not charge you merely because these Terms change.

Refund eligibility for a paid service will be stated at purchase and will remain subject to rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable consumer-protection law. Unless stated otherwise, purchasing visibility or promotion does not guarantee applications, interviews, candidates, traffic or hiring results.

12. Third-party services and links

The Platform may link to employer websites, application systems, maps, email, messaging, payment, hosting or other third-party services. Those services operate under their own terms and privacy practices. We are not responsible for third-party content, availability, security or conduct, but we welcome reports of harmful or misleading links.

13. Security and fraud awareness

We use reasonable measures to protect the Platform, but we cannot guarantee that every user, listing, message, file or external link is safe or authentic. Users should independently verify employers and candidates, use secure communication, avoid advance-payment requests, and report suspected fraud. We may preserve and disclose relevant records where lawfully required or reasonably necessary to investigate abuse, protect users or cooperate with competent authorities.

14. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Platform at any time and may request account deletion through our Contact page, subject to legal, security, dispute and record-retention requirements.

We may restrict, suspend or terminate an account or remove content where we reasonably believe these Terms have been breached; an account creates risk or liability; the user is inactive; payment is overdue; or action is needed to protect users, the Platform or the public. Where appropriate, we may allow the user to correct the issue or appeal the decision.

15. Platform availability and changes

We may maintain, modify, replace or discontinue features and may impose reasonable limits to protect performance and security. We aim to keep the Platform available and accurate, but temporary interruptions, errors, delayed messages, lost connectivity or compatibility issues may occur. Users should keep copies of important applications, listings, messages and documents.

16. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Platform is provided on an “as available” basis. We do not guarantee that a listing, employer, candidate, qualification, salary, message, interview, offer or outcome is accurate, lawful, suitable or successful. We do not provide legal, immigration, tax, career or financial advice through ordinary Platform content.

Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty, duty, remedy or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

17. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, JMJobsListings will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from user conduct, hiring decisions, third-party services, unauthorized access, loss of opportunity, loss of data or inability to use the Platform. Where liability cannot be excluded, it will be limited only to the extent permitted by applicable law.

18. Responsibility for misuse

You are responsible for loss or claims arising from your unlawful content, fraud, infringement of another person’s rights or material breach of these Terms. This section does not require a consumer to give up a legal right or protect JMJobsListings from responsibility that the law places on us.

19. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Jamaica. Before beginning formal proceedings, you and JMJobsListings should first attempt in good faith to resolve the matter through written notice sent using our Contact page. If the matter is not resolved, the courts of Jamaica will have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory right or procedure available under applicable law.

20. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the Platform, law, security practices or business operations. The updated date will appear at the top. Where a change materially affects registered users, we will take reasonable steps to provide notice. Continued use after an updated version takes effect means you accept the revised Terms.

21. Contact us

Questions, complaints, reports of suspicious listings, copyright concerns and legal notices may be submitted through the JMJobsListings Contact page. Please include enough information for us to identify and investigate the issue without sending unnecessary sensitive information.
